MIRIAM R. BAKAL
After working for many years in the litigation department of a Wall Street corporate law firm, Miriam subsequently changed her focus to helping individuals with their personal legal needs.
She practices in the fields of Estate, Probate and Trusts, and assists clients with Real Estate transactions and civil litigation. Living in a small town, Miriam has also utilized her legal skills to assist various community organizations and serves on a municipal board.
Miriam is a skilled advocate for the establishment of appropriate educational opportunities for children. As a member of the Special Education Parent Advisory Committee and as the founder of the Parent Association for Gifted Education, Miriam has developed a reputation for achieving both collaborative and adversarial changes to school district policies and practices. Through her own experiences, she learned how important it is for families to advocate for their children and their own unique needs in Special Education law.
After graduating from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology with a degree in Economics, Miriam attended Fordham University School of Law.
Miriam has been admitted to the New York and New Jersey bars for more than 25 years.
